Chevrolet seems to be all about bringing back its iconic nameplates. Earlier this year, it released an all-new version of the Blazer SUV. Now, it looks like the American carmaker will be adding a version of the well-known TrailBlazer to its crossover and SUV lineup, too.
A teaser image of the potential new TrailBlazer was released earlier this month during General Motors’ Capital Markets Day. Though, as you might expect from a teaser image, the photo leaves a lot to the imagination, it does show sculpted lines and a sleek roofline that hint at the brand’s all-new Blazer SUV’s style.
If this is the new TrailBlazer, Chevrolet will place it between the Trax and the Equinox in its model lineup. The brand’s intention is to make the TrailBlazer a more upscale option than the Trax, though it will have similar dimensions.
Though it may bear the TrailBlazer name, this new SUV won’t be anything like the original model. Produced from 1999 to 2009 in the United States, the first TrailBlazer was based on the Colorado truck frame. The new model’s platform will likely be car-based instead, as that is what many consumers are looking for in their new crossovers and SUVs.
More news in relation to the Chevrolet TrailBlazer is expected to be released soon, so make sure you check back here at Jack Schmitt Chevrolet for more exciting news.
