Chevrolet announced details for the upcoming 2020 Camaro lineup last month, showing off the SS trim’s fresh front end appearance, new trim level options, and an available 10-speed transmission, to name a few.
The SS trim will feature significant styling updates based on the Camaro Shock concept shown at the 2018 SEMA Show. The new grille is split by a body color bar, with the bowtie sitting in the narrow upper grille, creating a sleeker, more stylized look.
One of the most notable 2020 Chevrolet Camaro updates is the addition of the LT1 trim, which takes styling cues and performance options from the SS and LT trims, incorporating the body of the LT with the vented hood of the SS.
The LT1 will come with a super-powerful V8 engine at 455 horsepower and a standard six-speed manual transmission or available 10-speed automatic, as well as all-season tires, special black bowtie emblems, and an available Technology Package.
Previously only available on the V8-equipped SS and ZL1 trims, the 10-speed automatic transmission has been tailored for the Camaro’s 3.6-liter V6 engine, so drivers can get that effortless acceleration on LT models as well.
The 2020 Camaro will see a host of other small updates, including a new Rally Green body color option, interior accents like red seatbelts and kneepads, tinted taillamps, and performance seats. Chevy has even made some features standard that were previously optional, like the Convenience and Lighting Package on the 3LT trim.
The updated new 2020 Chevrolet Camaro will be available soon at Jack Schmitt Chevrolet. Call, email, or stop in to learn how you can be one of the first on your block with this incredible performance car in the driveway.
