Many people recognize that Breast Cancer Awareness and October are interchangeable terms during the tenth month of the year. Chevrolet shows its commitment each and every year with donations, fundraisers, and sponsored events. We here at Jack Schmitt Chevrolet of O’Fallon are committed to giving back to our community, especially in October.
No one should have to battle breast cancer on their own, which is why we make every effort to support those who need it most. We’ve held dozens of events to raise funds for breast cancer research. We don’t plan on cutting back either.
Our employees are what make us great and their involvement in the community is a driving force behind our commitment. Our very own Kathy Federico is the chairwoman for the St. Clair County American Cancer Society and works hard to make an impact on the battle against breast cancer.
Community events are another way we aim to raise awareness and get everyone involved. The Wine, Witches, and a Walk event was hosted by the American Cancer Society in 2016 and we’re happy to see it will return this year as well. The event replaced the Making Strides Against Cancer Walk with a resounding success. Adding a Halloween theme certainly drew quite the crowd!
We’re looking forward to see large gatherings at this year’s breast cancer awareness events as well.
